Quest 1

Following the daily battle of one man’s attempt to re-roll himself and become the Level 1 Human.

“I just want to be healthier and feel better. It’s really that simple. I am tired of being tired. I want to be able to climb two flights of stairs and not pass out. I want to bring balance to my gaming lifestyle. I want to be able to outrun mutant dogs and zombies when the world ends! I really want to settle into a healthy lifestyle that I can maintain into and beyond middle age.”

“I’m not trying to make a statement, inspire anyone, or make anyone feel uncomfortable with themselves. The purpose of the Blogging my progress is to make myself accountable – to add a little positive pressure (so on the days when I’m feeling lazy I can use this blog as motivation).”

Quest 1 is my attempt to “MMO”ize my health. Heck, I figured if I partition 1/5 of the time I spend on gaming and convert that to exercise and meal planning I could easily achieve results.”

Quest 1 Objective (Began March 21, 2008):

1) Achieve a body fat percentage of 10-14% (Categorically: Lean) in 90 days

2) Document progress with frequent blog entries, recording meal plans, exercise schedule, etc …

3) Take frequent pictures

4) Publish pictures on Day 90
